Ulrike Garvert
Art historian
Ulrike Garvert (*1979) is an art historian specialising in contemporary art and art since 1950. After completing her studies in Berlin, Leipzig, Bamberg and Pisa, she is currently a Ph.D. student preparing a doctoral thesis on Harald Szeemann. Ulrike Garvert has been working for galleries, artists and collectors. Since 2003, she has been working, amongst others, with the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst (Leipzig) and the Gallery Pfefferle (Munich) where she has been co-organizing exhibitions and managing contacts with collectors and museums. An „art worker“, she is managing several projects for catalogues (amongst others Ekrem Yalcindag and Jan Davidoff) and regularly publishes articles.
