Jens-Ole Rey
art historian
After an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker Jens-Ole Rey studied architecture, art history, Romance languages and literature as well as archeology in Darmstadt, Heidelberg and Naples. For his doctoral thesis he is currently researching the architecture and urban development of Berlin after 1945. Besides his scientific main focus is on twentieth century art and design in Germany. In addition he is involved in several official catalogues and publications dealing with architecture, applied art an design for museums in Lörrach, Weil am Rhein, Basle and Berlin.
